Great to meet you!

I know what it's like being scared to seek help. I know that asking for help can sometimes feel like things are failing and I caused them. I also know how nervous I felt when I looked for assistance and wanting to begin therapy, scared with questions like, will I be judged? Will they keep my confidence? Can I trust them? I knew that when seeking therapy and looking for help all I wanted was for things to be better, get better, live healthier and be accepted. Therapy is scary, it can bring up issues that may be more frightening than you would like to cope with. Therapy is also helpful, healthy and the best part is, you're not alone.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I mainly work with individuals struggling with depression and anxiety surrounding various areas of their lives. We will begin our work through exploration of the situation(s) that cause discomfort and collaborate to create a treatment plan/goal that makes life easier through tracking progress and growth.

What you can expect from our first session

I tend to focus therapy on Motivational Interviewing along with exploring the emotions that create and push situations that make our life uncomfortable through Emotional Focus Therapy. During the initial session the need(s) that create an uncomfortable existence will be explored and a treatment goal will be discussed through joint collaboration. Therapy will focus on healing and growth always.
