Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2008 & hold a B.S. in Psychology. I have worked in various settings including a domestic violence & sexual assault shelter, psychiatric/substance abuse hospital, a faith-based non-profit practice, & outpatient treatment centers. My special interests are pre-teens, teens, and adult clients dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD, trauma, life transitions, and managing chronic pain through relaxation techniques. I know how difficult reaching out and seeking help can be. I am here with genuineness, empathy, authenticity, transparency, and compassion to help you better yourself. I am a dog mom and an auntie to many. I enjoy time with my family & friends, walking my furbaby, self-care, nature, and traveling.

My approach to therapy

Seeking help is difficult. I get it. With my education and experience, I bring genuineness, empathy, compassion and work with you to give you tools to accomplish your goals for therapy.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an intake which will be different than our regular, future sessions. It will be information and life history gathering. It is important to establish a safe, and comfortable relationship/rapport. If either of us realize we don't "click" or it doesn't feel right, we'll find you someone else. All that really matters is you feel comfortable and safe with the therapist because this is a different space where vulnerability and openness needs to occur, for the best outcomes for help. If it's not me, that's okay.
