Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with graduate training in counseling and art therapy and more than 17 years of experience working closely with adolescents and adults struggling with trauma—including sexual abuse and assault—addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD and neurodivergence, identity, attachment and relationship challenges, and difficult life transitions. These experiences can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, struggling in your life or relationships, or wondering why you keep repeating the same patterns. I don’t believe therapy is about fixing what’s “wrong” with you; my goal is to help you better understand yourself, reconnect with who you are, and create change that feels authentic and lasting.

My approach to therapy

Therapy should feel human—not cold, clinical, or intimidating. My style is warm, open-minded, collaborative, and direct: I’ll sit with you in the hard things, ask thoughtful questions, offer practical tools, and challenge you when it matters. Your sense of safety and your pace will always remain central to our work. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences have shaped the ways you cope, protect yourself, relate to others, and see yourself—and whether those patterns still support the life you want to build. I integrate evidence-based approaches, neuroscience, holistic care, and sometimes a little humor, tailoring our work to your goals, strengths, and story.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy in a way that feels comfortable. You don’t need to have the “right” words, know exactly what you want to work on, or pretend you’re okay if you’re not. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what you hope might change, and what you need from therapy to feel supported. My goal is to create a space that feels human, welcoming, and genuine—and to start exactly where you are.
