Great to meet you!

Growing up, I had the opportunity to explore the world and see the pain and life reality of others. It was such cross-cultural experiences that led me to study Social Work and complete my clinical license (LCSW) to help others find healing.

My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in Attachment Theory and childhood trauma experiences that inform the way we experience the world around us. I take time to first identify what led you to counseling and explore ways your current challenges are related to past experiences that shaped your belief systems, behaviors, and patterns.

My approach to therapy

I naturally offer a warm and inviting tone to my clients and get to know one another. I lead with curiosity as I desire to understand where my clients are coming from and what is most important to them. Once I have developed a solid foundation with my clients and when they are ready, I offer insight, reflections, and challenges.

I love working with young adults, pre-marital couples, and individuals who are eager to learn more about themselves and are ready to dig into their strengths and challenges. I address stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, family conflicts, compassion fatigue, and professional growth.

What you can expect from me

In our very first meeting, I’ll mostly listen as you share what brought you to counseling. My main goal is for you to feel truly seen, heard, and comfortable as you take this important step.

I’ll also provide context of what our work together can look like, based on your interests and needs. You’re welcome to ask me any questions you may have to feel more comfortable moving forward.

You and I will work together to gently identify your biggest challenges. From there, we’ll explore goals that feel right for you. I’ll offer a “menu” of helpful ideas tailored to those challenges, and we’ll also build on your existing strengths so the path forward feels realistic and empowering.
