Linette Tovar

Linette Tovar is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor (LPC-S) who has been working in the mental health field in various roles for over 15 years. She has completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Texas A&M University in College Station. She has extensive experience working with adults who have endured trauma, whether it be a single incident or complex trauma. She also has experience working with adults who have struggled with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and other severe mental health conditions. Linette can be described as helpful, wise, funny, and caring by those who know her. She values work-life balance and enjoys spending time with her family, attending concerts, and rooting for the Texas A&M Aggies in the fall.

Linette is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She likes to use a combination of modalities to meet the needs of each individual. Linette works collaboratively with her clients to understand and meet goals set for success and stability.

After working with Linette, most clients feel heard. They gain a better understanding of where their emotions and behaviors come from. Knowledge is power, and Linette aims to empower her clients to regulate their emotions and set healthy boundaries.
