Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a licensed attorney in Texas and Maryland. I earned my graduate degree in social work with a clinical focus and have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and high-stress professional environments.

My background in both law and clinical practice gives me a unique understanding of high-responsibility roles, complex decision-making, and the emotional toll of leadership, caregiving, and high-performance environments. I work primarily with adults and young adults who may appear “high functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or stuck internally.

I have experience supporting clients with:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress
  • High-functioning depression
  • Burnout and career-related stress
  • Trauma and adverse life experiences
  • Relationship challenges
  • Identity development and major life transitions
  • Women’s mental health and professional stress

I strive to create a space that is grounded, thoughtful, culturally aware, and non-judgmental. My goal is to help clients build clarity, emotional resilience, and sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, integrative, and collaborative. I tailor treatment to each client’s needs using evidence-based modalities including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic-based interventions, including breathwork.

This means our work may include:

  • Processing traumatic or distressing memories through EMDR
  • Exploring internal “parts” and patterns using IFS
  • Building emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills through DBT
  • Restructuring unhelpful thought patterns with CBT-based strategies
  • Increasing psychological flexibility through ACT
  • Incorporating body-based awareness and nervous system regulation techniques

I view symptoms not as flaws, but as adaptations. Together, we work to understand the root of distress, reduce reactivity, and build long-term emotional resilience. Therapy is paced thoughtfully — we do not move faster than your nervous system is ready for.

My style is grounded, direct, and compassionate. I balance insight-oriented work with practical tools so clients leave sessions with both understanding and actionable strategies.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy at this time.

We will:

  • Review relevant history
  • Clarify your current concerns
  • Identify initial goals
  • Discuss how therapy works and what you hope to gain from it
  • Answer any questions you may have

There is no pressure to share everything at once. The first session is about establishing comfort, clarity, and direction. By the end of the appointment, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process and a preliminary plan for moving forward.
