Great to meet you!

Hi :) I’m Lis. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself and know you’re talking to someone who genuinely gets it. I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2016, with much of my experience focused on substance use and trauma across levels of care ranging from detox to IOP. I am a trained EMDR clinician and I especially enjoy helping people understand how past experiences continue to show up in their lives today, work through what’s keeping them stuck, and build a life that feels healthier and more manageable.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is direct, but down-to-earth, and collaborative. I want my clients to feel like they can show up as themselves without fear of judgement. I believe in meeting clients where they’re at while also gently challenging the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I draw from trauma-informed care, EMDR, CBT, and other evidence-based approaches, but I tailor our work to you rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’d like to be different, while beginning to identify some goals for our work together. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and like we have a direction moving forward.
