Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Lisa Bendimez, I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, burnout, and complex family dynamics. I specialize in working with adults navigating narcissistic abuse recovery, unhealthy relationship patterns, anxious attachment, childhood trauma, and high-functioning anxiety. Many of my clients are high performers, successful in their career, caregivers, or individuals who appear to “have it together” externally while internally struggling with stress, self-worth, relationship challenges, or emotional exhaustion.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, direct, and insight-oriented. I believe therapy should feel like a space where clients can be honest about what they are experiencing without fear of judgment while also feeling supported and challenged toward meaningful change. I take an integrative and trauma-informed approach that looks at the emotional, relational, cultural, physical, and environmental factors impacting a person’s life rather than focusing only on symptoms. Together, we work on increasing self-awareness, improving emotional regulation, building healthier relationship patterns, strengthening boundaries, and creating more sustainable ways of coping and living.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to feel supportive, conversational, and focused on understanding what has brought them to therapy. We will discuss current challenges, relationship patterns, stressors, and important life experiences while beginning to identify goals for treatment. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable being open about what they are going through while also helping them gain insight, clarity, and direction. Together, we begin identifying patterns and practical steps toward building healthier relationships, stronger boundaries, improved emotional regulation, and a more fulfilling and sustainable life.
