Great to meet you!

As an African American woman born and raised in New York, my life has been shaped by both challenges and triumphs. From a young age, I became aware of the complexities of moving through the world as a Black girl—and later, as a Black woman. The support of my family and community helped me tap into resilience, pride, and the magic within myself. Those experiences continue to guide the work I do today. Professionally and personally, I’ve witnessed the brilliance, strength, and beauty of people of color, as well as the unique burdens we often carry. My identity deeply informs my approach to therapy. I understand what it means to navigate systems that weren’t built with us in mind, to feel unseen, or to be told—directly or indirectly—that who you are is “too much” or “not enough.” My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you can explore your emotional world without judgment. I support adults who have experienced emotional neglect, racial trauma, sexism, or the chronic stress of feeling marginalized. I believe every person has the capacity to heal themselves; my role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, compassion, and tools to help you reconnect with your inner strength. Your emotional wellness matters. Your story matters. And you deserve care that sees all of you. I provide culturally responsive, anti‐racist, trauma‐informed therapy that honors your identity, validates your lived experience, and supports your journey toward emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach is to create a safe, affirming space where you can explore your emotional world without judgment.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a gentle introduction to the work we’ll do together. We move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is simply a space to begin.

We’ll start by talking about what brought you here, what you’re hoping to explore, and what emotional wellness looks like for you. I’ll ask a few questions to understand your history, your lived experiences, and the support you’re seeking. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right.

You’ll also learn more about my approach—culturally responsive, anti‐racist, and trauma‐informed—and how we can tailor our work to honor your identity and your story. Together, we’ll begin shaping a plan that supports your healing, your growth, and your sense of self.

Most importantly, the first session is about creating safety. It’s a space where you can breathe, settle in, and feel seen. This is the beginning of a partnership rooted in trust, compassion, and the belief that you already carry the strength you need to heal.
