BIO For Lisa Bosley

With over 25 years in the Social Service field, I have had the opportunity to work with numerous populations. I have always held the words of Aristotle, “We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then, is not an act, but a habit,” close to my heart, as I believe that all pursuits are worthy of my best efforts. I am a lifetime student and continue to look for better ways to grow and educate myself to pass along to others.

I hold a master’s degree in social work from the University of Louisville and have dedicated my career to trying to make a difference in the lives of those I have been fortunate to work with.

I received my CSW on March 7th, 2008, then my LCSW on August 3rd, 2026.

I am humbled and honored by those that choose to include me in their journey towards healing their mind, body, and spirit. I am excited for those who make the difficult decision to take this step towards wholeness and look forward to working together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and strictly person-centered. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, so I tailor my treatment plans to each client's unique needs, culture, and goals. Grounded in a humanistic foundation, I frequently integrate evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thought patterns, alongside Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to foster psychological flexibility. My ultimate goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to build self-awareness and practical coping skills.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, low-pressure space focused entirely on getting to know each other. We will begin with a brief check-in to address any initial questions you have about therapy, privacy, or my practice. From there, we will explore what brought you to therapy, look at what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past, and gently map out your primary goals. My main priority for our first hour is ensuring you feel safe, heard, and aligned with how we will work together moving forward.
