Great to meet you!

Things seem to have gone a bit haywire these last few years. Most of us who had been getting along well enough may find ourselves or our children struggling more lately. We don't have to wait for the world to change in order to feel better or to help our children. Let's work together toward managing your mind, body, soul, and relationships harmoniously.

A bit about my approach to therapy

With over 30 years of working with foster, adoptive, kinship, and birth families, I have special knowledge about the child welfare system, child development, effects of trauma, separation and loss, sexual abuse, and more. I use a mixture of attachment theory, polyvagal theory, and neuroscience within a healing relationship to help folks understand themselves, others, and their relationships.

What you can expect from our first session

With this knowledge, we will develop tools and strategies to ease depression, calm anxieties, and open your social engagement system. If you wish to focus on helping your children, we will use this work to shift your relationship with them in a way that will decrease their problematic behaviors. Along the way, we will notice and celebrate our progress together.
