Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist & AAMFT Approved Supervisor in Colorado, California, Virgina, Florida, & Hawaii, I appreciate & support how unique each client and their life experiences are. I am a Navy Veteran, Military Spouse, mother of four sons, and the child of a Vietnam Veteran with 18 years of clinical experience. I bring a deep understanding of the unique challenges many face. My professional journey has been shaped by a passion to help individuals and couples heal emotional wounds, improve communication, rebuild trust, and cultivate authentic, fulfilling relationships. I offer a safe, compassionate space to support you in navigating life's challenges, balancing career demands, fostering healthy relationships, and processing grief.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, Master of Arts in Psychology emphasis Marriage and Family Therapy, trained Gottman Couples Method therapist, AAMFT Approved Supervisor.

I have extensive experience working with all branches of the Military and their families, Educators, Executives, Government Agencies and their families, Law Enforcement, Legal Professionals, First Responders and Special Agency Military and Federal Operators.

I currently provide virtual sessions exclusively.

A bit about my approach to therapy

With couples, I use Gottman Couples Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Systems Family Therapy. I meet my client where they are at whether rebuilding the relationship or learning to let go. You will gain the tools to ask for what you need, set boundaries, feel seen, heard, appreciated in your relationships.

With individuals I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Experiential. I am compassionate and committed to helping you move through life's challenges. Your sense of purpose/identity and self-worth will improve while critical thoughts decrease.

I will be there to listen, support, and challenge you to achieve your goals.

What you can expect from our first session

With couples we spend the first few sessions talking about relationship history and identifying goals. It's important to build rapport, and decided if we are a good fit and team. You will learn to communicate effectively, increase intimacy and connection, and manage conflict.

With individuals, we spend the first session assessing why you are starting therapy, what your goals are, and if you feel we can be a good team. During our sessions, you can look forward to; improving your communication, addressing and managing stress, balancing life and career, improving self care and self-advocacy, and processing grief.

Often, we’re taught to carry burdens alone, to smile through our struggles, and to prioritize productivity at the expense of our well-being. Now is the time to invest in yourself and your future by making meaningful changes.

Often my clients report feeling relieved to have someone to talk to who doesn't judge or criticize or rush to solve their problems. After a few sessions, they report feeling empowered, better equipped to handle life, less stressed, and more connected to their inner instincts and in their relationships.
