Great to meet you!

With over 14 years of experience in the mental health field, I am a dedicated mental health counselor committed to supporting individuals and families through meaningful and lasting change. My clinical background spans a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders, with a strong focus on helping clients build resilience and restore balance in their lives.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that facilitates healing from trauma and distressing life experiences. EMDR can be integrated with a warm, client-centered therapeutic style to meet clients where they are and guide them toward improved emotional wellbeing.

With specialized training in play therapy, creative and developmentally appropriate techniques can be incorporated to engage children and adolescents. I believe in the power of involving the whole family in the therapeutic process, fostering healthier communication, stronger connections, and collaborative problem-solving within the home.

Grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique journey, I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where healing can unfold. I am passionate about empowering clients of all ages to navigate challenges, discover strengths, and move forward with confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I help clients identify unhelpful thoughts, understand how these patterns influence emotions and behaviors, and develop practical skills for meaningful change. Through a structured, collaborative process, I support individuals in challenging cognitive distortions, processing difficult experiences, and building healthier, more effective ways of coping.

What you can expect from me

  1. I’ll Start by Understanding Your Goals

I’ll ask a few clarifying questions to learn what you want help with, what your preferred style is (brief answers, in-depth explanations, conversational, structured, etc.), and any constraints you might have such as time, format, or sensitivity.

  1. You Set the Pace

You can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. I don’t assume details—you’re in full control of what we explore.
