Great to meet you!
I bring over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, having worked across a wide range of settings including outpatient therapy, substance use treatment, inpatient, crisis care, school-based and residential programs, juvenile justice, and foster care. This breadth of experience allows me to adapt my approach to meet clients where they are, whether they are navigating a specific challenge or working through long-standing patterns.
Much of my work has been alongside clients and colleagues of African American and Hispanic heritage. This has shaped my commitment to ongoing self-reflection, cultural humility, and remaining open to perspectives and lived experiences different from my own. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is respectful, collaborative, and grounded in safety and connect through our shared humanity.
I am extensively trained in trauma treatment and am Trauma-Focused CBT certified. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and practical—helping clients build insight while also developing tools they can use in everyday life. In addition to clinical work, I have spent over 15 years supervising and training other clinicians, which has deepened my ability to think thoughtfully, ethically, and flexibly about care.
