Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lisa! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) in New York and Florida, and I specialize in working with anxiety, life transitions (college, moving, breakups, career changes), and body image concerns.

I primarily work with young adult women who are high-functioning and driven, but internally feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns of overthinking and self-criticism. Many of my clients feel pressure to “have it all together,” but struggle with perfectionism, all-or-nothing thinking, and being hard on themselves.

I help clients better understand their anxiety, build a more compassionate relationship with themselves, improve their confidence, and feel more grounded in their day-to-day lives.

My approach to therapy

I’m actively engaged in sessions through thoughtful questions, reflections, and gentle feedback while creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space. My approach is collaborative and personalized to meet the needs of my clients. I focus on creating a space where you can be fully honest about what’s going on in your life without feeling like you need to filter, or feel judged.

As a person-centered therapist, I allow sessions to flow in a way that feels most helpful to you, while also gently guiding you toward deeper insight and meaningful change.

I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but place a strong emphasis on understanding patterns, processing emotions, and building self-awareness.

My goal is for therapy to feel like a meaningful, supportive conversation, while also helping you make real, lasting shifts in how you think, feel, and show up in your life.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where we begin to explore what is bringing you into therapy at this time, and figure out what you are hoping to get out of therapy.

We will talk through your current challenges, relevant background, and any patterns you’ve been noticing that you may want to work on. You don’t need to have everything figured out beforehand, my role is to help guide the conversation in a way that feels both comfortable and productive.

By the end of the session, you will have a better sense of how we can work together and what our focus might look like moving forward.
