Great to meet you!

My name is Lisa, and for more than 22 years I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families as a mental health professional in schools, home‐visiting programs, and private practice. These experiences have shown me how deeply a person’s environment shapes their wellbeing, and I carry that understanding into every session. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Missouri in 2024 and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri.

I specialize in working with older teens (16–18), college students, young adults, and adults who are navigating trauma, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, women’s issues, life transitions, and grief. My goal is to offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen.

My approach to therapy

I focus on gently exploring the childhood experiences, trauma histories, and life circumstances that shape how we think, feel, and move through the world. I believe our early environments—and the moments that challenged us—leave lasting impressions on our emotions, beliefs, and patterns of coping. Therapy is a place to understand these roots with curiosity rather than judgment.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, you can expect a calm, steady pace focused on getting to know you—your story, your strengths, and what feels heavy right now. We’ll explore what brings you in, clarify what you hope to understand or change, and begin building a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, safety, and authenticity.
