Great to meet you!

I am Lisa, and I've been a therapist for thirty plus years. I got my Social Work degree in NYC, and immediately focussed my profession on helping women and teens heal from physical, emotional, sexual, and relational trauma.

The past 15 years of my career, I've worked with clients on a variety of issues like family dynamics, relationships, divorce and its related issues, co-dependency, chronic illness, stress, eating disorders, anxiety, issues within the workplace, and of course trauma.

My approach to therapy

I believe that in order to grow, learn, and heal, you must first become more aware of yourself and how your past experiences and family dynamics have shaped you. We gather the unique pieces to your puzzle, from your past and present, and eventually fit these pieces together to form a complete picture so you have a better, clearer understanding of who you are, why you are, and what you want and need.

My approach is relational, nurturing, empathic, and collaborative. We are a team!

What you can expect from me

My aim is to help my clients feel deeply heard, seen, and understood. You will feel validated and cared for, and if you are open, I will also provide pratical steps and suggestions to follow as we outline goals or desired outcomes. As time goes on, you will have more clarity about your issues and how to resolve them. You are the leader of the session and we move at your pace, however. I see myself as your supportive, empathic guide to obtaining your future goals.
