Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience assessing and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions. I see patients from childhood through older adulthood, but my practice is largely focused on adults dealing with stress, mood changes, focus problems, sleep issues, and the cumulative weight of work, relationships, and responsibility. Many of the people I work with look high-functioning from the outside and feel worn down on the inside. Others are just tired of pushing through irritability, low motivation, or trouble concentrating. If you're skeptical about mental health treatment, or worried it will feel awkward, overly emotional, or abstract, you're not alone and you won't be out of place here. I respect your time, your autonomy, and your intelligence.

My approach to therapy

My approach balances clinical precision with real-world perspective. We focus on what's actually getting in the way and what will help you function better at work, at home, and day to day. Care is collaborative and practical: we talk through symptoms, options, and next steps in plain language, and decisions get made together. Medication management is thoughtful and individualized rather than one-size-fits-all. My style is informal but intentional. I use humor when it eases tension and builds rapport, and I'm careful to know when it doesn't. There's no pressure to use therapy buzzwords, perform emotions that don't feel authentic, or process feelings for their own sake. You'll always be taken seriously.

What you can expect from me

Starting mental health care can feel awkward, uncomfortable, or long overdue, so my goal is to make the first step feel more like a conversation than a clinical performance. We'll talk through what brought you in, what your symptoms actually look like in daily life, and relevant history and context, in plain language rather than clinical jargon. From there we'll discuss treatment options, including whether medication makes sense for you, and build a plan together. Sessions are calm, grounded, and focused. No forced vulnerability, no vague self-help language. You should leave the first appointment with a clear sense of what we're working on and what comes next.
