Great to meet you!

Maybe the path that once felt clear no longer fits, and the things that gave your life meaning have grown harder to find. I'm Lisa Jaeger, an LMHC with over forty years of experience helping people make sense of those in-between periods. I work with adults, adolescents, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, identity questions, stress, grief, and life transitions. I offer affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and am committed to understanding how individual struggles connect to the larger systems we live inside

My approach to therapy

My practice draws on psychodynamic therapy, CBT, DBT, IFS, and EFT, adapted to each person rather than applied as a template. In practice this means slowing down to examine the patterns that repeat, the beliefs formed long ago that may no longer serve, and the line between what is genuinely yours to work through and what is the result of circumstances beyond your control. I have specialized training in sex therapy and extensive experience with LGBTQIA+ clients, trauma survivors, people managing anger and family conflict, those facing serious or chronic illness, and individuals processing grief, loss, infertility, and end of life concerns.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I will ask you to tell me what brought you here, whether you are coming alone, with a partner, or navigating a family challenge. I will listen without rushing toward solutions. We will start to map the terrain together: what feels unmanageable, what feels close to working, and where to focus first. Most clients leave the first session feeling clearer, not because anything is solved, but because they have been able to say it out loud to someone who is genuinely curious about what it means.
