Great to meet you!

I use a comprehensive, integrative approach to healing CBT, DBT and Mindful practices which is a process of healing that promotes emotional stability by helping to free the mind from past thoughts, memories and behaviors that are present in daily life. The mindful approach to emotional healing works through conscious change in perspective.

Depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, addiction, etc. are merely symptoms of an underlining problem. Traumatic experiences happen throughout our lifetime. At those moments, we go into fight or flight mode to survive. The impact of those experiences resurface and what is left are uncomfortable symptoms. Until the trauma is resolved, the symptoms will likely contunue

My approach to therapy

Deciding to become a therapist was a spiritual journal for me. Through personal life experiences I gained valuable wisdom, insight and knowledge on this educational path toward helping others. I have a passion for life and a desire to share my expertise with my clients by assisting in facilitating, encouraging, empowering individuals toward change.

What you can expect from me

Therapy will be a collaborative experience, where we will work together to create goals; both short term and long term. Depending on your current struggles, different modalities will be used to guide you into change.

Cognitive behavioral therapy - getting to the root cause/reason of current behaviors and decisions. We will go over your family history, childhood experiences and how you have been effected by your environment. Dialectical behavioral therapy- mindful daily practices.

Homework will be a vital part of the therapeutic experience. I can guide and work with you, but real change happens on a daily basis as you impliment new ways of being into your life.
