Lisa Legeaux

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience providing medication management to child, adolescent and adult patients experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health disorders.

I earned my Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Southern University and A&M College. I am currently an Associate Professor at Loyola University, New Orleans where I teach various baccalaureate level courses, including mental health to nursing students. I treat patients experiencing various symptoms associated with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety, depression, PTSD and mood disorders. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults in various settings including pediatric inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, therapeutic day and outpatient and care settings.

As a nurse practitioner, I use a patient centered perspective. I believe in collaborative provider-client relationship where each individual is a partner in the work toward optimal health and wellness. We identify areas of concern and establish clear goals of treatment.

During our initial session we will complete a full history, establish reasons for seeking care, identify significant areas of concern and discuss potential treatments options.
