Dr. Lisa Legeaux

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience providing medication management to child, adolescent and adult clients experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health disorders.

I specialize in the treatment of Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and associated symptoms that can impact daily life. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults in various settings including inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, therapeutic day programs and outpatient care settings.

I earned my Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Southern University and A&M College. I am currently an Associate Professor in New Orleans where I teach various baccalaureate level courses, including mental health to nursing students.

As a nurse practitioner, I have a patient centered approach. I believe in a collaborative provider-client relationship where each individual is a partner in moving toward optimal health and wellness. We identify and prioritize your areas of concern and establish clear goals of treatment based on the outcomes you wish to see.

During our initial session we will complete a full history, review symptoms, identify significant areas of concern and discuss potential treatments options.
