Great to meet you!

Hi! Are you looking for a provider who focuses on identifying and treating the root cause of your symptoms? Do you sometimes feel like you are not being fully heard in your healthcare experiences?

Together, we can explore what isn’t working and help you get back into balance.

My name is Lisa, and I have over seven years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan. I am currently accepting new clients in both Ohio and Illinois. My approach integrates traditional psychiatric care with complementary and alternative treatments when appropriate.

These may include lifestyle interventions such as exercise, nutrition, targeted supplements, therapy, and genetic testing, alongside psychiatric medications when needed.

In our sessions, I strive to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based techniques to help you overcome the challenges and patterns that may be holding you back. I look forward to working together to support your mental wellness and overall health.

My approach to therapy

My approach is both integrative and individualized. I combine evidence-based psychiatric treatment with complementary approaches such as lifestyle interventions, nutrition, supplements, and collaboration with therapy when appropriate. Rather than focusing only on symptom management, I work with clients to identify and address underlying contributors to mental health concerns whenever possible.

Another area that stands out in my practice is comprehensive evaluation and thoughtful treatment planning. Whether we are exploring depression, anxiety, mood disorders, or concerns related to ADHD, I take a careful and thorough approach to assessment so that treatment decisions are intentional and tailored to the individual.

Clients often appreciate that our work together is collaborative and practical. My goal is not only to help reduce symptoms, but also to provide tools, education, and strategies that help clients feel more confident managing their mental health in everyday life.

Ultimately, I aim to help clients regain balance, improve functioning, and feel empowered in their mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment at Ruth Wellness Integrative Psychiatry is designed to help us gain a clear understanding of your concerns, history, and goals for treatment. This initial session is typically longer than follow-up visits so we have the time needed to explore your symptoms and develop a thoughtful plan of care.

During this visit, we will review your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, medications, and lifestyle factors that may be affecting your well-being. This may include discussion of sleep, stress, nutrition, exercise, substance use, and past treatments. If you are seeking evaluation for ADHD, we will begin a comprehensive assessment that may include screening tools and discussion of symptoms across different areas of life.

This appointment is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share what has or has not worked for you in the past. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel heard and understood.

By the end of the session, we will work together to develop an individualized treatment plan. This may include medication management, therapy referrals, lifestyle recommendations, supplements, further diagnostic testing (such as genetic testing), or ADHD testing when appropriate.

Follow-up appointments will then be scheduled to monitor progress, adjust treatment if needed, and continue supporting your mental health goals.
