Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Lisa with Warm Breezes Counseling. I work with women and men who are stuck in cycles of anxiety, stressed or depressed, and emotional exhaustion—those who wake up already overwhelmed, second-guess every decision, or feel like they’re barely holding it together. I also specialize in supporting individuals navigating the hidden grief of infertility, the emotional rollercoaster of IVF, and the complex realities of adoption—offering space to process guilt, anger, fear, and hope without pressure or judgment. As a therapist who has herself experienced various struggles, I know how challenging these experiences are and bring a unique understanding, in additional to professional training, to helping clients going through the emotions associated with these challenges and paths. I provide support and understanding to the emotions you are feeling, support in your struggles, and helping you to find clarity and healing in deciding your path forward. I practice via telehealth, which allows individuals to engage in therapy from any private space where they feel safe and comfortable.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in mental health, I believe in looking at the whole person when working with clients and practice from a person-centered point of view. My experience has spanned a wide range of settings, including outpatient, community-based, and residential care, where I’ve supported children, adults, and families in improving their well-being. I've always had a passion for being able to help others to help individuals work towards healing their struggles. To help someone move from a place of sadness, worry, stress, or grief, to a place where they feel confident in who they are and their continued path forward, brings a sense of peace to the client, and I appreciate those who choose me to be their partner in their journey.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Our work together will begin with getting to know you — understanding your current challenges, and exploring the experiences that have shaped who and where you are today. We’ll identify the goals you’d like to achieve, and take meaningful steps toward reaching them. Whether your goals evolve over time or remain consistent, I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to feel seen, heard, and understood in our sessions. You’ll gain clarity, develop a renewed sense of hope, and build confidence as you move forward - not alone, but with a trusted ally beside you. You'll learn coping skills to have more supports and control during difficult times. You'll leave with a renewed sense of inner strength to be able to keep going during the difficult times, and renewed sense of hope that the direction you are following is the right path for you.
