Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Lisa Sevanick, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves supporting adults and older adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and stress. I’ve lived and worked in NYC for over 20 years and hold a Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in your capacity to adapt, grow, and heal, even when life feels overwhelming.

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic and creative, shaped by my background in the arts and training in evidence-based therapies. I often work with people navigating big life transitions, sudden loss, or shifts in identity and roles that leave them feeling disconnected, isolated, or wondering, “Who am I now?” Together, we create space for your feelings to be seen and heard, then break problems into manageable pieces so you can move toward realistic, meaningful solutions. Along the way, we’ll honor both the small wins and the big breakthroughs, always validating your strengths and unique story.

What you can expect from me

If you’re feeling like you just need everything to pause so you can catch your breath, therapy can be that pause. In our work together, we’ll slow things down, get clear on what matters most to you, and explore what “moving forward” actually looks like in your life. If this resonates, I’d be glad to meet with you and see how I can support you on your path to feeling more grounded and well.
