Great to meet you!

I believe in leading with empathy and taking a realistic, compassionate, and human approach to counseling. Life can be complicated, and many of the battles we face are not visible to others. I believe that people deserve a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can be honest about their experiences, struggles, and emotions without fear of shame or criticism.

My approach recognizes that change does not happen overnight and that progress can look different for everyone. I strive to meet clients where they are while helping them develop greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, and practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. I believe we are all deserving of grace, humility, and understanding as we work through difficult seasons and learn to move forward.

Through telehealth counseling, I aim to create a genuine therapeutic connection where clients feel heard, respected, and supported while working toward meaningful and sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

I use an eclectic, client-centered approach grounded in solution-focused therapy. My goal is to help clients identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and develop practical strategies for creating meaningful and sustainable change. I integrate evidence-based CBT and DBT skills to support emotional regulation, coping, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.

While I value practical skill-building, I also recognize the importance of exploring the deeper emotions and experiences that contribute to current challenges. I tailor treatment to each client’s individual needs, pace, and goals, creating a supportive and collaborative environment where clients can feel understood while developing the tools they need to move forward. I strive to help clients not only manage difficult emotions, but also build greater self-awareness, resilience, confidence, and a stronger sense of personal agency.

What you can expect from me

I believe in getting a holistic snapshot of the person sitting across from me—not simply focusing on what feels difficult or unmanageable in the present moment, but taking the time to understand the full story that brought them here. This includes exploring where they have come from, the experiences that have shaped them, the relationships and environments that have influenced them, and the strengths and coping strategies that have helped them along the way.

I also want to understand what has gone right. Even in the midst of distress, there are often strengths, values, relationships, moments of resilience, and past successes that can provide important insight into what is possible moving forward. At the same time, we can compassionately explore what has become overwhelming, where previous coping strategies may no longer be working, and what patterns may be contributing to current struggles.

I approach this process with curiosity rather than judgment. Understanding the whole person allows therapy to move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward identifying meaningful patterns, building on existing strengths, developing healthier ways of coping, and creating change that feels realistic and sustainable
