Great to meet you!

I have been working in mental health in California and Nevada for over twenty years. I have worked primarily with teens and their families that are struggling with life's difficulties. I have been successful with clients who experience anxiety and depression in their daily lives, giving them the tools to handle stress and manage their emotions skillfully.

My friends, family, and work colleagues describe me as easy to get along with and dedicated.

Please call and let's meet and chat to see if we are a good fit to help you and your family to a brighter day.

My approach to therapy

My work is to the point and focused on the issues that cause my clients the most distress. I work with kids, teens, and adults using evidence-based theoretical models that are backed by research and my years of experience, such as CBT and DBT.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which are proven methods to help my clients understand why they think and react the way they do. Then I help them to adjust the unhelpful thoughts to achieve more effective thoughts, emotions and behaviors.

What you can expect from me

For our first session you can expect me to share a bit about myself. I will answer any questions you may have about me or the therapy process. I will be asking you a lot of questions about you and your reason to be in therapy, along with some goals you wish to work on. This is in a relaxed and welcoming way in order to begin to establish trust and create rapport.
