Great to meet you!

With over 20 years of experience, including 11 years as a high school mental health counselor, I understand how anxiety, school stress, family pressure, grief, and life transitions can show up for teens and adults. If you’re a teen feeling overwhelmed, or a parent trying to support your child through something hard, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I’ve helped teens and adults work through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I’ve also worked closely with parents and schools to help clients better understand their needs, feel supported, and build tools that make daily life feel more manageable.

My approach to therapy

Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. Therapy with me is conversational, collaborative, and practical. We start where you are, and I ask thoughtful questions to help clarify what you’re experiencing, what feels overwhelming, and what support would actually feel useful.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices like CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care, tailored to what each client needs. Sessions focus on helping you feel more centered, understand your patterns, and build practical tools you can use outside of therapy. At the end of the day, it’s about you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to counseling and what you hope will feel different. You set the pace, and there’s no pressure to have everything figured out.

For teens, we may talk about school stress, friendships, family dynamics, anxiety, or the things that feel hard to put into words. For adults, we’ll focus on what’s been weighing on you and what support would help you move forward. You’ll often leave sessions with practical, usable takeaways you can apply in daily life.

If faith is important to you, I’m also comfortable integrating that into our work upon request.
