Great to meet you!

I’ve been in private practice in Manhattan for more than twenty-five years, working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, obsessive thought patterns, and relationship challenges in both their personal and professional lives. I also work with adolescents facing family conflict, academic struggles, grief, divorce, and other disorienting life events. My background includes a Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College at the City University of New York, which continues to shape my thoughtful, insight-oriented approach. Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and able to speak freely about what matters most.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a collaborative process—a safe, protected environment where recurring patterns, self-defeating thoughts, and emotional blind spots can be noticed without judgment and understood with greater clarity. Together, we explore how past experiences may continue to influence present relationships, behaviors, and ways of thinking, often outside of conscious awareness. I’m especially interested in helping clients recognize what the poet Robert Bly called “paying attention to small desires”: the parts of ourselves that may have been dismissed, minimized, or hidden over time. Through careful attention and curiosity, therapy can open the possibility of feeling more connected, alive, and fully yourself.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another in a relaxed, conversational way. I’ll invite you to talk about what brings you to therapy, what feels difficult right now, and what you may hope to change or better understand. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out before we begin. My role is to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help create a sense of ease and trust from the start. By the end of our conversation, we’ll have a clearer sense of whether working together feels like a good fit and how therapy might support you moving forward.
