Great to meet you!

Most people don't have a relationship, anxiety, confidence, or self-worth problem. They have a pattern problem.

The way you relate to yourself, other people, and the world around you is often influenced by experiences you don't even realize are still affecting you. That's why insight alone isn't always enough to create lasting change.

Hi, I'm Lissette LaRue, a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Hypnotherapist with more than 14 years of experience helping individuals and couples uncover and heal the deeper patterns driving emotional pain, relationship challenges, and repeated life struggles.

My work combines psychology, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, nervous system regulation, and mind-body approaches to help clients create healthier relationships, greater confidence, stronger self-trust, and lives that finally feel as good as they look.

I work with adults experiencing relationship concerns, trauma, anxiety, self-esteem issues, communication challenges, life transitions, and the lasting effects of childhood experiences.

Whether you're navigating dating, marriage, family relationships, or your relationship with yourself, we'll work together to create meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is empowering, direct, and holistic.

I believe every behavior, emotion, and relationship pattern makes sense once we understand where it came from. Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms, we identify what's happening beneath the surface so we can create change at the root.

I won't just sit back and nod. I'll ask thoughtful questions, challenge patterns that are no longer serving you, and help you connect the dots in ways you may not have seen before. At the same time, you'll have a space where you feel genuinely supported, understood, and accepted.

I integrate evidence-based approaches with trauma-informed care, attachment work, nervous system regulation, and practical strategies to help you apply what you learn outside of our sessions.

My goal isn't simply to help you feel better, although that will happen. But rather to help you understand yourself differently so you can build healthier relationships, make more aligned choices, and create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about understanding the whole picture.

We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the experiences that have shaped you, the patterns you've noticed, and what you want your life and relationships to look like moving forward.

Essentially, it's about understanding you.

You'll leave with more than someone who listened. You'll leave with greater clarity about what's been happening, a deeper understanding of the patterns beginning to emerge, and a clear direction for the work we'll do together.

Most importantly, you'll leave knowing that meaningful change is possible, because it is.
