I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing from a solution-focused and person-centered approach with tactics taken from diverse fields such as Cognitive-Behavioral and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
My undergraduate degree is in Divinity (Christian Studies) from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. I completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University and have worked in school settings as well as private practice.
I practice from a collaborative posture, emphasizing that you, the client, are the expert on your life. I create a space where we have good conversations through which we explore new perspectives on your past and present and develop novel solutions to the problems you are facing.
I am especially excited to work with people who are navigating religious and spiritual traumas, whether abuses they have experienced or the distress of deconstruction.

All sessions begin the same, with a question to you: "what is important for you today?" I will also have my own curiosities, that at times will challenge you to try out new ways of seeing your story and new ways to go forward with who you are becoming.
