Great to meet you!

Professionally speaking, I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience across clinical and research settings, supporting individuals, families, and caregivers facing emotional, medical, and physical challenges. Prior to this adventure, my career primarily focused on working with people with disabilities in outdoor settings and as an advocate. Personally, my approach to life and therapy was primarily shaped by my mother who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis before I was born. I sometimes refer to myself a recovering outdoor endurance athlete; as someone who is still experimenting with what balance means to me. The roles I find myself in ebb and flow but the ones that remain consist are: a partner, a parent, a grandmother, a pet enthusiast, a practitioner of mindfulness and meditation, and a lover of the outdoors.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client centered. My intention is to empower you on the healing journey that works best for you. I bring experience and skills to the room that will, hopefully, assist you in finding your own innate wisdom. I offer voluntary practice/homework options between sessions.

What you can expect from me

I offer a free 15-30min, free, meet and greet as an opportunity for you to ask questions and gather a sense as to whether or not I am someone you feel comfortable spending time with in the therapeutic space. During the first session, we will explore what brought you to therapy, your intentions and preliminary goals, as well as any background you feel comfortable sharing at that time. We will, together, decide on a conditional diagnosis that will assist in our joint development of a treatment plan during the second session; both of which will be reviewed and updated as appropriate.
