Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Syracuse University, and for more than 24 years I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families across a variety of settings, including community counseling centers, medical and integrated care settings, university-based counseling programs, and virtual therapy with couples. These experiences have shaped a warm, thoughtful, and person-centered approach to therapy.

I work with people navigating stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, family challenges, and attention and executive functioning difficulties, including struggles with concentration, memory, planning, organization, and motivation. I also have extensive experience helping couples address marital and relationship concerns such as communication problems, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, trust issues, and the strain that develops when partners feel stuck in painful patterns. Identity exploration is another area of my work, including sexual orientation, gender identity, and racial or ethnic identity.

I provide therapy in both English and Spanish. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to move toward meaningful change and greater well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and flexible. I believe healing happens in a space where you feel safe, respected, and able to bring your full self. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, goals, and strengths rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

In couples therapy, I help partners slow down recurring conflict, better understand one another, and strengthen emotional connection. In individual therapy, I may integrate CBT, IFS, and trauma-informed care to support insight, self-compassion, healing, and meaningful change.

My goal is to offer a grounding and affirming space where you feel understood, supported, and able to move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a gentle introduction to working together. Whether you are coming in as an individual or as a couple, I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and anything that feels important for me to know. There is no pressure to explain everything at once. We move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I’ll also share how I work, answer questions, and help us begin identifying the areas you’d like to focus on. For couples, this may include understanding the relationship patterns that feel most painful or stuck right now. The goal of this first meeting is to begin building trust and a shared sense of direction.

My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about what our work together can offer.
