Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist with over six years of clinical experience treating children, adolescents, and adults, as well as more than four years of experience working in schools as a counselor. I earned my graduate training in counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and their families who have experienced trauma and am committed to supporting clients and their families through the healing process. I am trained in Play Therapy, EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT.

My approach to therapy

I believe every child, teen, and adult already has the ability to heal within them. My role is to provide the safety, compassion, and sense of belonging that allows that healing to begin. I help clients discover their strengths and use those strengths to create positive changes and improve their lives, walking alongside them with understanding and guidance as they move toward peace, resilience, and well-being.

What you can expect from me

In your first therapy session, my goal is to create a welcoming and safe space where you can feel comfortable beginning your healing journey. We will start by reviewing important details such as confidentiality and my practice policies so you know what to expect and feel secure in the process. I will also invite you to share about your background, experiences, and what has brought you to therapy, including any current symptoms or concerns. This time is meant for me to better understand you, your needs, and your goals so that we can move forward together in a supportive and collaborative way.
