Great to meet you!

I am Liza Valencia, a clinician with nearly two decades of experience and advanced consultative training across multiple evidence‐based psychotherapy modalities. My work is driven by a deep commitment to collaboratively understanding each client’s story and using that insight to guide thoughtful, research‐supported conceptualization. I draw from treatments recommended in clinical practice guidelines—including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Written Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and the Unified Protocol—to address a wide range of conditions.

My approach to therapy

My approach centers on tailoring practical, meaningful tools that help clients unpack and untangle challenging experiences with clarity and compassion. My goal is for every client to complete their episode of care equipped with skills that support ongoing growth and movement toward their personal goals.

What you can expect from me

Together, we start to make sense of what’s been happening—connecting patterns, identifying what’s getting in the way, and highlighting the resilience and skills you already have.
