Great to meet you!

In a previous career path I was a college professor and I enjoyed working with my students to achieve their goals. After I completed my MSW I completed a clinical fellowship in social work at Yale University in order to get more training and supervision to improve my clinical skills. Since then I've worked with teens with complex traumas and their families and adults in mental health crisis in Intensive Outpatient Programs with complex mental health conditions. I have worked a lot with trauma in my career.

My approach to therapy

What I love most about therapy is that this is a time that is completely focused on my client(s) in a world where people are being forgotten or ignored. I love helping clients see their strengths and challenging them to learn to love their flaws. I have attachment, anti racist/feminist, and psychodynamic therapy training which really means that I think about how relationships and privilege status impact my client's inner world. I am more reflective in style but can be more directive for clients if needed. I want to help my clients feel better so I teach evidence based skills to help improve symptoms. Clients that come to session in person can expect to be offered therapeutic journal pages that can help them remember the skills and techniques we discuss in session between our meetings.

What you can expect from me

Available for In Office or Virtual sessions - currently only accepting clients under 18 yo that I worked with in the past

If my client is open to it I love to give evidence based homework with skills to try out between sessions to help my clients feel better. I like to ask questions to make sure I really understand my client's experience. I also try to co-create our work together.

Clients can choose to have recurring 53 or 45 minute sessions every weekly or bi-weekly Mondays - Thursdays from 8 am - 3pm. Some morning appointment's available on Fridays. Currently there are no regular appointments available after 3 pm.

Please message me directly for availabilities on those days!
