Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Lizandra, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and U.S. Air Force Veteran providing therapy to adolescents and adults throughout Florida in both English and Spanish.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, or major life transitions, I'm here to help you navigate those experiences with compassion and practical tools for lasting change.

As both a therapist and veteran, I understand how life's experiences can shape the way we think, feel, and connect with others. I have a special interest in working with veterans, first responders, and individuals recovering from trauma, while also supporting women who are learning to heal, build confidence, establish healthy boundaries, and reconnect with themselves.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I use evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), DBT-informed interventions, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have completed EMDRIA-approved EMDR training and am currently completing my consultation hours.

I know reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and you don't have to have everything figured out before getting started. My goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered as we work together to create meaningful, lasting change so you can move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and hope.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique story. I combine evidence-based techniques—such as cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based strategies—with a faith-informed, trauma-sensitive perspective. I believe healing happens through genuine connection, self-awareness, and practical tools that empower you to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and resilience. Together, we’ll create a safe space to explore what’s holding you back and build the confidence to move forward.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a comfortable and judgment-free space where we’ll focus on getting to know you—your story, goals, and what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences and what support looks like for you. Together, we’ll begin to create a plan that feels manageable and meaningful, setting the foundation for trust, clarity, and progress at your own pace.
