Great to meet you!

I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience, regardless of where they are in their journey. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. With over a decade of experience in the helping professions, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in educational and mental health settings. My background includes counseling, school counseling, special education, and trauma-informed care, allowing me to understand the unique challenges individuals face across different stages of life. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), and I am passionate about helping clients recognize their strengths, build confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change.

While I offer empathy and support, I also believe that growth often comes from gently challenging unhelpful patterns and perspectives. My clients can expect honesty, compassion, and direct feedback when it is beneficial to their goals. I strive to balance validation with accountability, helping clients gain insight while feeling supported throughout the therapeutic process.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive while also being honest and goal-oriented. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel safe enough to be challenged, gain new perspectives, and create meaningful change. I will meet you where you are while encouraging growth at a pace that feels both achievable and empowering.

I use a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that recognizes how past experiences can shape present thoughts, emotions, and relationships. By understanding the impact of trauma, we can work together to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create healthier patterns moving forward. I integrate evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based techniques to best meet each client's unique needs. Because healing is not one-size-fits-all, I tailor therapy to each individual, collaborating with clients to identify meaningful goals and create lasting emotional well-being.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is not only to help you feel better but also to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and develop the confidence and tools needed to create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve. My priority is to help you feel comfortable and understood while gathering information that will guide our work together. You can expect a welcoming, judgment-free environment where questions are encouraged, and we move at a pace that feels right for you. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying meaningful goals and develop a plan that supports your unique needs and path toward healing.
