Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and experience supporting adults through a wide range of mental health challenges and life experiences. My clinical background includes working with individuals experiencing borderline personality disorder (BPD), bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, psychosis, trauma, anger, and other complex emotional and behavioral concerns.

I’ve worked across a variety of treatment settings, from community-based services and residential treatment to outpatient care. I also have experience working with military veterans, first responders, law enforcement, young adults, adults, and older adults.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can feel heard and understood while also developing practical tools to create meaningful change. I work collaboratively with clients and meet you where you are, while helping you identify goals and take the active steps needed to move toward them.

My approach is especially well suited for adults who are ready for growth, open to learning new skills, and interested in actively participating in their therapeutic process. Whether you are working through a current challenge or trying to better understand long-standing patterns, we can work together to create a path that feels purposeful and realistic for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented. I believe effective therapy involves both having a space to be heard and understood and developing the tools needed to make meaningful changes in your life.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, incorporating techniques that can help with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal relationships, thoughts and behaviors, and navigating difficult emotions. I also bring trauma-informed experience to my work and have a particular understanding of the ways trauma, anger, emotional intensity, and life experiences can influence how we respond to ourselves and others.

I tailor therapy to each individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Some clients may need more support and understanding, while others are ready to focus heavily on skills, accountability, and behavioral change. We will work together to determine what is most helpful for you.

My goal is to meet you exactly where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be. Therapy is a process, and I encourage clients to be active participants in that process as we identify goals, build skills, understand patterns, and work toward sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

I’ll also explain how I approach treatment and begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to your first session. We can take the time to understand where you are and determine what support will be most useful.

Because I work with adults through specialized virtual care, our sessions provide a confidential space where you can talk openly while also beginning to develop practical strategies for the challenges you’re facing.

Most importantly, I want you to leave the first session with a better sense of what therapy with me can look like and a clearer understanding of the direction we can take together. If you’re ready to do the active work of therapy, we’ll build a treatment approach around your specific goals, needs, and pace.
