Great to meet you!

I became a counselor because my own journey through trauma, childhood dysfunction, and difficult life experiences taught me the transformative power of hope and choice. Growing up, my parents didn’t have the tools to break the generational patterns they inherited, and I learned early on that “you cannot give to others what you haven’t been taught.” As I worked to heal, I began to see solutions that had once been hidden behind a fog of despair, and I realized I wanted to help others uncover the same clarity and hope. My personal healing ignited a deep passion for counseling and inspired me to support others in breaking cycles of pain, reclaiming their sense of hope, and creating meaningful, lasting change in their own lives.

My approach to therapy

My practice is deeply informed by my belief that every person’s story deserves to be respected, honored, and never judged. My own life experiences have taught me the importance of compassion, patience, and truly listening to understand—not to respond. I know it takes boldness and courage for someone to come to counseling, and I honor that by creating a space where clients feel safe, valued, and supported. I believe in collaboration, walking alongside my clients as a partner in their healing, and empowering them to make choices that bring hope, clarity, and meaningful change. These values guide every session and shape the way I show up as a therapist.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, you can expect a calm, compassionate space where your story is heard without judgment. I take time to understand what brought you to therapy, what you’re struggling with, and what you hope to change. Together, we’ll explore your goals, talk through your immediate concerns, and begin identifying the patterns—past or present—that may be shaping your current challenges. In the early stages of therapy, we focus on building trust, creating a sense of safety, and clarifying the direction of our work. I’ll help you gain insight into your experiences, offer practical tools you can start using right away, and work with you to set realistic, meaningful goals. You can expect honesty, encouragement, and a collaborative approach as we take steady steps toward healing, hope, and the lasting change you’re seeking.
