Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts with over six years of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families across different settings. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported in the language that feels most natural to them.

As a Latina and second-generation immigrant, I understand how cultural beliefs and stigma around mental health can impact the way we seek support. I am enthusiastic about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and feel empowered in their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is person‐centered, collaborative, and flexible, meaning we explore different strategies together based on your needs and my professional knowledge

While therapy is traditionally characterized as talk-based psychotherapy, my approach can also be engaging and creative. Therapeutically, I may integrate worksheets, support the development of healthy habits and routines, and incorporate a more holistic approach when appropriate, such as brief guided meditations to help you stay present and calm.

Together, we can explore different tools and techniques that you find relevant to goals. These may include strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Solution-Focused Therapy and distress tolerance skills. I enjoy creativity, our sessions can be fun and spontaneous. There are times when we can listen to music, work on affirmations, imagery or art therapy.

Approach with children: Creative, play and art therapy, implementation of therapeutic worksheets and games to boost engagement and provide psychoeducation with a fun twist.

What you can expect from me

Our first session begins with a warm welcome as we start building our therapeutic relationship. We’ll review informed consent and go over a few important questions as part of the intake process. I’ll also share a bit about my therapeutic style, background, and experience so you can get a sense of how I work and whether it feels like a good fit for you.

If time allows, we’ll start exploring the goals you’d like to focus on in therapy and discuss what the process might look like moving forward. And if you’re not sure where to begin, that’s completely okay. We’ll figure it out together—this is a collaborative journey, and we’ll take it one step at a time.
