Great to meet you!

I’m Lloyd Dallas Jackson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, combat Veteran, and mental health professional with more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health, leadership development, and counseling. I began my military career as an enlisted Infantry Soldier before earning a direct commission as an Army officer—a path known in the military as a “Mustang.” That experience gave me a unique perspective on leadership, service, and the challenges faced by those at every level.

I proudly served nearly 25 years in the United States Army, including two combat deployments, and retired in 2018 after serving in multiple leadership positions, including three commands focused on behavioral health. Following my military career, I spent approximately 20 years serving Veterans through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, helping individuals overcome trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions while mentoring clinicians and developing leaders across large healthcare organizations.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is practical, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-focused interventions, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs. My style is supportive but direct, helping clients better understand themselves, build resilience, develop practical strategies, and take meaningful steps toward lasting change.

What you can expect from me

From our first session, my goal is for you to feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely heard. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s working in your life, what isn’t, and most importantly, where you want to go from here. You won’t find judgment or unnecessary clinical jargon—you’ll find an honest conversation, practical guidance, and someone who is fully engaged in helping you move forward. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling understood, encouraged, and confident that we have a clear path forward together.
