Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. I provide individual therapy through a practical, compassionate, and structured approach—helping clients build coping skills, improve relationships and boundaries, and reduce patterns that keep them stuck. I work with clients across diverse identities and backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and those managing acculturation or immigration-related stress.

Education: MSW (University of Southern California), MS in Financial Analysis (University of San Francisco), and BA in Psychology (San José State University). I worked in academic and career counseling—experience that informs my goal-focused, real-world style in therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and practical. We’ll work on two tracks at the same time: (1) immediate tools to reduce distress and improve day-to-day functioning (stress, mood, sleep, boundaries, communication), and (2) deeper pattern work so the same issues don’t keep resurfacing. I keep therapy structured enough to feel like it’s going somewhere, but flexible enough to meet you where you are each week. Given my background and current clinical work, I pay particular attention to how work–life pressure, relationships, stress, anxiety, depression, and acculturation or immigration stress shape symptoms and coping.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, you can expect a clear, grounded intake—not an interrogation. We’ll cover what’s bringing you in now; relevant history (mental health, relationships, trauma if applicable, and medical, sleep, or substance factors); what you’ve tried before; and what “better” would look like in concrete, measurable terms. We’ll also align on logistics and boundaries: confidentiality, session structure, handling between-session needs, and how we’ll know whether therapy is working. If it’s a good fit, you’ll leave the first session with an initial plan and one or two concrete strategies to use right away.
