Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Tess. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut. I am employed at a facility that treats mental health and substance use. I have 6 years of experience as a therapist that could assist with issues such as anxiety, anger, and life transition concerns. Whether you are looking to regulate emotions, navigate a transition in your life, overcome substance use, or looking for spiritual/personal growth, I can walk with you through your journey. I have years of experience working with individuals and groups, helping them find strategies and techniques that work best for them and their situation, at their current stage of life.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist my strengths are empathy, flexible and effective communication skills. During sessions I provide a safe and supportive environment to unpack whatever you are dealing with in a nonjudgmental collaborative way. I listen and I don't judge. I am here to provide encouragement and support however you may need it.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I will provide a safe place for you, as I gain an understanding of what brings you into therapy and what support looks like for you. We will work together to identify your needs and develop a treatment plan that align with your goals. Space will be provided for you to ask any questions that you may have about expectations, and the treatment process.
