Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Lois, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and Indiana. I hold a Master’s Degree in Family Studies, Special Education, and Counseling and am pursuing my Doctorate in Behavioral Health. I have over 15 years of experience as an educator and 8 years in private practice, where I’ve worked with diverse clients. In my practice, I’m passionate about helping individuals and families navigate mental health challenges. So they can lead happy and successful lives.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, using various techniques including motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and strength-based therapy. In utilizing these approaches, I focus on your internal strengths and resourcefulness and less on your weaknesses. This sets up a positive mindset that helps you be in control of your day-to-day life.

What you can expect from our first session

Finding the right therapist is just as important as finding the right home. If you’re looking for someone to walk with you through your struggles, create a non-judgmental environment, is warm and caring, a good listener and will stay with you every step of the way, then I’m the therapist for you.

I'm Looking forward to walking this journey with you!
