Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Lora and I'm a licensed therapist and a certified hypnotherapist in California. I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Common themes among my clients are healing the pain of childhood emotional neglect and recovery from abusive relationships.

I chose to be a therapist because I have been where you are. I know what it is like to struggle with the effects of anxiety and depression, and I have been on my own healing journey for many years. I understand how important it is to be seen, heard, and validated when you are allowing yourself to be vulnerable to another.

My approach to therapy

I use narrative therapy, imagery, and mindfulness to help clients who feel stuck in unhealthy behavior patterns. I work from a trauma-informed perspective that focuses on your strengths. I create a safe, nurturing environment for clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, low self-worth, relationship issues, and trauma from childhood neglect and/or abuse. I am both a LGBTQIA+ and a BIPOC ally - I endeavor to create a space where clients feel safe to be their most authentic self.

What you can expect from me

I help my clients to identify, process, and re-write the stories that they tell themselves about who they are and about what they are capable of achieving. If that sounds interesting to you, please reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we would be a good fit for each other.
