Great to meet you!

My background in behavioral health includes experience in intensive outpatient, school and community-based mental health programs, and adult psychotherapy in private practice. I have focused on trauma and approaches that integrate the mind and body in treatment. I find it immensely rewarding to help people self-reflect, process their experiences and develop more skillful ways of coping. I'm also a musician, so I am well-practiced at listening and attuning to others.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, affirming and grounded in the assumption that everyone has the potential to live with greater ease and enjoyment. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, especially CBT, ACT, DBT and MBSR. I integrate mindfulness and meditation practices, somatic therapies and expressive arts if they serve your therapeutic goals. I try to approach each session with open-minded compassion.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to be met with respect and to have your efforts honored. Over time, you may identify patterns of behavior and thinking that no longer serve you well, tap more deeply into your innate strengths, and learn new ways of responding to difficult emotions. My hope is that increased self-awareness and self-compassion will help you better understand and manage your mental health. Ultimately it is up to you what you take away from therapy.
