Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience supporting adults, older children, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, stress, and life transitions. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood, so I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients can show up authentically and feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences.

My work is centered around helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I’m passionate about empowering clients to build self-confidence, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop practical tools that support long-term growth and resilience. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or simply looking for support through a challenging season of life, therapy can provide space for healing, clarity, and meaningful change.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Florida International University and have spent my career helping individuals and families move toward healthier, more balanced lives.

I support those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management challenges, including panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and sleep disorders. I work with individuals experiencing grief and bereavement, end of life issues, infertility, chronic conditions such as diabetes, and other health-related disabilities that impact emotional well-being. My practice also supports clients living with bipolar disorder (also known as manic depressive illness), attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), eating disorders, alcohol and substance abuse concerns, anger management and impulse control difficulties, and complex family or relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I integrate mindfulness-based interventions with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and emotional balance.

I help clients understand how patterns in thinking, emotional responses, and daily habits can impact mental health and overall well-being. Together, we work to identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and create healthier ways of responding to stress, anxiety, trauma, and life challenges.

I believe lasting change happens when clients feel emotionally safe, supported, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. My goal is to help clients feel more confident, resilient, and connected to themselves both inside and outside of therapy.

I provide affirming care around identity development, cultural and ethnic issues, women’s issues, men’s issues, maternal mental health including prepartum and postpartum transitions, and LGBTQ+ concerns, including support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals. Whether you are navigating major life transitions, managing chronic stress, or working through long-standing patterns, therapy can be a space to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater stability and self-understanding.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. Clients can expect a welcoming, non-judgmental space where they can share what’s been bringing them to therapy at their own pace.

During our first session, we’ll talk about your current concerns, personal history, goals for therapy, and any challenges you’ve been experiencing emotionally, mentally, or relationally. I’ll also answer any questions you may have about the therapy process so you can feel informed and supported moving forward.

My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work we can do together.
