Great to meet you!

My name is Loren Johnson and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I graduated with my master's degree from The University of Alabama in 2017. My passion for helping others drew me to the field of counseling. My collaborative style allows me to work closely with my clients to reach their goals.

My approach to therapy

I believe that all individuals have the ability to overcome life's struggles if they are given the needed tools and knowledge. My approach to therapy combines highly effective therapy models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy with a solution-focused mindset. I believe that the client is the expert of their own life but needs some help navigating and understanding their experiences and emotions.

What you can expect from me

I focus on a combination of in-session interventions and homework assignments to best help my clients achieve change in their lives. I believe there needs to be a balance of space for venting as well as moments of being challenged to see things in a new way.
