Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lorena, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Fordham University alum. I support teens and adults who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally humble. I meet you where you are and help you make sense of what you’re feeling without judgment or pressure. I have experience supporting first-generation individuals, adolescents, and clients navigating cultural, family, and identity-related dynamics.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional burnout, or major life transitions, we’ll work together to build clarity, confidence, and practical tools that actually fit your life. I integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT while always honoring your lived experience, values, and cultural context.

Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you feel more grounded, supported, and empowered as you move forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and respected. My style is warm, conversational, and grounded (not overly clinical).

I take a culturally humble approach and consider how family roles, identity, and life experiences shape the way you show up. Sessions are collaborative and paced with care, balancing practical coping skills with space for reflection when needed.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a therapist who is present, honest, and invested in your growth.

Together, we’ll focus on understanding patterns, building tools you can use in daily life, and creating goals that feel realistic and aligned with your values. My goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and more grounded as you move forward.
