Lorene Callahan

Greetings, glad you have found your way here. As a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) School of Social Work, I am a psychotherapist with 11 years’ experience across a variety of settings and populations. I strive to provide my clients with a safe learning space to be heard, accepted, and validated. To that end, my focus is on connecting with and empowering clients to overcome their challenges and live a full happy life. It is an honor to serve in this capacity.

My therapeutic style is collaborative in which you and I work together to discover and implement new tools and coping strategies to address the challenges you face. I prefer a strengths-based solution focused approach and pull from a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, parent training, dialectical behavior therapy, progressive exposure therapy, and a variety of mindfulness intervention.

It takes a lot of courage to come into therapy and it is my hope that each client feels honored and appreciated for their individuality and self-determination. We begin by establishing a good working relationship, then assess your strengths and presenting issues. Collaboratively, we will create a treatment plan and set measurable goals for healing. Through this process you will learn new skills and tools to help you move past your obstacles and forward with life on your terms.
